I love the idea of an inspiration board - it's basically a collage of images / ideas, and I think we'll be seeing many more inspiration boards to come! The more I dream about it, the more I think STPI is just perfect for what we have in mind - it's chic, it's different, it speaks volumes about your passion, it's not bank-breaking. And it's got lots of natural light, and just enough space for us to fill it up with quirky little DIY projects. I cannot imagine holding our party anywhere else...And while I've never thought of myself as wanting a white wedding, I do think an ivory and silver palette - laced with pops of violet and dusky rose - would be absolutely gorgeous. I'm dying to start planning...
I don't know if I'm being overly ambitious, but I'm struck by the sudden desire to take up floral arrangement and a basic graphic design course, so the option of doing our own invitations, thank you cards, gift tags, centrepieces and hand bouquets is opened to us... after all we've got some time to plan, and I'm completely in love with the idea of being so intimately involved in my own wedding!
